Sum it Up CMW
Write a 300 word essay. List any improvements that you have made throughout the semester and what you could to do next semester to improve. Also if you could create any assignment what would it be?

I Gabriel Adams have improved on numerous of things while in my CMW class. I have a better understanding on how to do and what not to do in the cyber world! I've learned so many things from Photoshop all the way to Dream Weaver and I actually enjoyed it. As I began to work my way forward I find that , its imperative that I know something about computers at least . Yes I do and can add on more improvements . One being the ability to do things on my own with out a whole lot of help. Improvement on understanding the material at hand and much more. Yes it is the end of the semester and I honestly just want an A in the class thats what I strive for in all my classes but the main idea is to understand and get to know the materials and different ways to work programs and such like,.

When the school year first started I was not that confident in the work that we did. I was unsure of how to perform certain operations and not use to the updated software. As time progressed I used my friend’s knowledge and the instructions from the teacher and I feel that I have gotten to a good point. I never completely forgot about the programs, I just needed a refresher. Next semester I would like to grow even further in my knowledge. I would like to become dependent and not need the help of other people to complete my projects. I love and enjoy being taught, but I would like to grasp the concept and completely understand. I think to help improve upon these goals it would be best if I get all of my questions and concerns out the way. My major issue has been animating, I can trace and crop a picture with Photoshop, but when it comes time to animate it and make my artwork come to life, I’m stuck because I’m unsure how to complete the task.
My favorite creation was the reunion tour of the world’s best singers. I had fun fooling around with this project, I included a lot of famous artist and the end result was good for the first time. Looking back on the project, I would have changed the lighting to improve it. The dimensions of each character were good, but each had a different light. I could take what I know now and make an even better reunion tour.
If I had my choice of a dream project for next semester, I would love to make a website for a famous celebrity. Since we learned how to create websites using Dreamweaver, it would be perfect to make it about a celebrity.

When i first found out i was going to be in the class I really wasn't all that excited but as time progressed I became interested in the things we were learning about. I know I'm not the most proficient in the class but I am learning. The last time I took a class with Mr. Taffe was in 8th grade and i needed a lot of refreshing. With our TA's help and Mr. Taffe i have progressed in my photoshop skills , flash skills, and dreamweaver skills. This class was sort of like a refresher class. I love the independence Mr. Taffe gives us in his class. i feel like I can be creative and do all the things i would like to do. Next semester i would like to improve more on all things we have learned this semester because you can always learn more about all the programs and how to utilize different aspects of it. The hardest thing for me in the class is learning how to make my ideas work. I come up with these elaborate and creative ideas but when it comes time to put them on the computer i freeze up. I know i have the ability to do it I just need to get a little bit more comfortable with the software. My attitude towards the class has definitely changed because i was just doing the work because i was forced to be in there but now I'm doing it because i actually enjoy learning about those things. My favorite project in the class was the logo project. I got to express my creativity through something i love and i made it my own. I also like how it was a continuation . we did many things with those logos we made shirts, bumper stickers, and even a website. I also agree with Eric! I would love to do a website on my favorite celebrity next semester! You know it would be between Chris Brown and Trey Songz! :) In conclusion , I have enjoyed my time in the CMW class . It was more than I ever expected.

While in the class I've learned and improved a lot, I now have a passion for this class . I learned things such as the art and technique of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading line spacing, adjusting the spaces between groups of letters (tracking) and adjusting the space between pairs of letters kerning. This dealt with Typography . Color Theory s a body of practical guidance to color mixing and the visual impacts of specific color combinations. Each of this studies have improved the way I look at Digital Multimedia. This is a great class and i truly enjoy it. I know and understand a lot now. I believe I can do better but at the pace I am now its just fine . Be Blessed and you are really a great teacher Mr. Taffe I hope you have a great winter break and I believe that you will be a great father to that baby boy that you will be having if it is a boy and if so I won lol ..
