A cartoon character that I appreciate is Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh was one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger. The character’s demeanor is calm and happy, and has an essence that just makes you feel happier when you see him or watch him. He likes to eat a lot, specifically honey, and who doesn’t love food? Winnie the Pooh also gives a lot of inspiring quotes, and while they can be cheesy, they are ones that I actually like very much. A quote from Winnie the Pooh that I really like is “Just because an animal is large, it doesn't mean he doesn't want kindness; however big Tigger seems to be, remember that he wants as much kindness as Roo.” This quote is very sweet and emphasizes kindness and love that children should be exposed to. Winnie the Pooh can almost be considered a breath of fresh air because of the fact that this television show, amongst many others that do not spread wholesome message, actually does. The message of Winnie the Pooh is a great one, and not just for children. Sometimes adult need a little kindness and happiness to lighten up their lives. Winnie the Pooh is just awesome all around.

Edd (Double D) from Ed, Edd, n Eddy is my all-time favorite character. I had the biggest crush on him growing up, mainly because of his personality and role on the show. I guess I also thought he was somewhat attractive and the art style of the show really appealed to me (wobbly-line affect). Double D is intelligent, delicate, creative, punctual, excessively hygienic, kind, good-intentioned, a generally well-respected outcast, disciplined, docile, a mysophobe, loyal, sarcastic, an only-child, neurotic, understanding, laid back, quirky, soft-spoken, clever, perceptive, gentle, accepting, and a people-pleasing perfectionist. He frequently plays the role of a peacemaker, has a strong love and desire for order, and is sometimes timid or awkward around girls. He is very interested in science, research, and experimentation. He’d invent something new, or a new way of doing something, in almost every episode. He is musically gifted on the pedal steel guitar (although he shows the opposite of enjoyment every time he plays it) to the point of having the nickname, 88 Fingers Edward. He contrasts so perfectly with Ed (the dumb one with muscles) and Eddy (the leader with all the ideas), that the show would not be the same without him. I’ve just always had a thing for intelligent characters, especially one like Double D who has so many little quirks. He has a whole system of doing things (safety and cleanliness come before anything) and can’t sleep in an unlabeled environment (his bed literally says bed on it, etc.). He is definitely one of the most unique characters I’ve ever come across. My favorite quirk of his is the fact that I have never seen what is under his hat. He’s taken it off twice and yet his head remains a mystery to the audience. It would be a dream come true to be able to meet him in real life.
